CHANDRAPUR (Web Desk) – Indian police officials have arrested a parrot for hurling obscene words at an 85-year-old woman in Maharashtra’s Chandrapur district, said Indian media on Tuesday.
According to police, the caged pet was summoned to police station after Janabai Sakharkar filed a complaint with authorities that Suresh, the owner of parrot, has taught him to say bad words whenever she passes by his house.
Hariyal, the pet, however didn’t utter a single abusive word during stay at police station but still the police has handed him over to forestry department.
The authorities further suspect the complaint is part of an ongoing property dispute among Suresh and Janabai Sakharkar.
