PM Nawaz says economic revival in Pakistan being acknowledged globally

DAVOS – Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said on Wednesday that the entire global financial community is appreciating the positive economic turnaround in Pakistan.

In a brief conversation with media persons in Davos, the PM said that he will share Pakistan’s remarkable economic progress at the World Economic Forum, Radio Pakistan reported.

Nawaz Sharif said the economic indicators of the country are positive and are improving over time.

He said that the international agencies are giving encouraging signals about Pakistan’s economy and foreign investors were showing a keen interest in the country. He said that the country’s inflation is at the lowest level while the GDP is increasing.

The Prime Minister said that revenue collection has improved while rapid progress is being made on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He said the people of Pakistan were the real beneficiaries of CPEC.

He said there has been great social and economic improvement in the lives of the people.

He said a number of new roads have been completed and now there is greater inter-connectivity between all the provinces.

He said there would be more farms to market roads, new schools, health centers, economic zones and new industry that would generate employment.
