AUCKLAND (Web Desk) – Virtual world of Pokemon Go is making frenzy fans all over the world, keeping the players glued to the smartphone screen. The latest addict of the game from New Zealand in a bid to capture Pokemon characters has quit his job.
Tom Currie worked as a barista and bartender at a seaside restaurant but has decided to part ways with his job in to find digital creatures on his phone.

He says he is relying on friends and family to help out but admits his parents are “a little bit baffled”.
“When I resigned, I didn’t tell my manager I was going out into the world to hunt Pokémon,” he told Newsbeat.
“But after my story got picked up, I gave him a courtesy call to update him just in case the media contacted him.
Currie has booked 20 bus trips around New Zealand and, in less than a week, has already visited six South Island towns and caught Pokémon at every stop. So far he has captured 90 of the 151 Pokémon released on the game.
