LAHORE – An agreement was signed between Turkey and Punjab Government to cooperate in the health sector in Lahore on Thursday eve.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister and members of Provincial Cabinet were present on the occasion.
Under the agreement, Turkey will cooperate to upgrade the services in the health sector of Punjab.
Under this agreement, Turkish Health Ministry will provide technical and other necessary cooperation for setting up the Public Health Agency in Punjab.
It will work with Punjab Government to stop the spread of the epidemic and acute diseases and create public awareness in this regard.
Under the agreement, Turkey will provide training to nurses and other medical staff of Punjab province.
Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister said that provision of high standard health care facilities to the public is the top priority of his government. He welcomed the cooperation extended by Turkey for improvement of Health Care System in Punjab.
