ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Former commander southern corps Lt General (r) Nasir Janjua is likely to assume the position of special adviser to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
According to highly informed sources Janjua is probably going to replace Sartaj Aziz as Prime Minister’s special adviser on national security and foreign affairs. The decision of his appointment was made during his meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif this week.
Sources further added that military leadership is not satisfied with the performance of Sartaj Aziz and by replacing him with Nasir Janjua Nawaz Sharif’s government is going to appease them.
A formal announcement of his appointment is expected immediately after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s four-day trip to United States.
