PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has emerged as leading party with 395 candidates elected to the district council in local government elections held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to official results, in second place is Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F) with 132 candidates elected, while ANP comes a close third with 128 candidates and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) follows with 118 candidates elected to the district councils.
Jamat-e-Islami (JI) candidates secured 65 while 51 candidates of the Pakistan Peoples Party were elected to the district council.
