LAHORE (Staff Report) – As per new law, the traffic Challans in Punjab province will be issued through the use of CCTV cameras.
Sources in Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Special Monitoring Unit (SMU) said that SMU has gotten the approval of the new law of issuing fine challans with the help of CCTV cameras from CM Shahbaz Sharif and the cabinet.
The purpose behind this is to abolish the wrong procedure of spotting Challans as pictures of the number plates along with challans will be dispatched to the home of the vehicle owner.
The cameras challenging bill will be presented in next Assembly session for approval.
