KARACHI – In a shocking incident, a man has allegedly raped his six-year-old stepdaughter in Karachi, police said on Sunday.
According to police, the stepfather of the minor girl has been arrested from Sachal area of the metropolis after a complaint filed by the mother of the victim. Identity of the family has not been disclosed by the police.
The complainant had married the accused for the second time two years ago. She had a girl from her first husband who was living with her mother and stepfather in Qazzafi Town.
The mother was out of her house for some work on Sunday, leaving her daughter behind with her husband.
When she returned, she found her daughter in critical condition in a pool of blood. Later, the victim was shifted to a hospital in the city where she underwent an operation.
Police said that the further action will be taken after the medical report.
