Super Mario Run represents a belated bid by Nintendo to tap mobile gaming after restricting its most popular gaming character to its own game consoles.
The latest launch confirms growing popularity of games on Android phones.
By releasing an Android version, Nintendo can tap a much larger pool of potential gamers. Super Mario Run is a popular game not among the kids only due to its catching colours and amazing graphics but also among teens due to its strategic nature.
