RAWALPINDI – In a joint action under operation Raddul Fassad, security forces have arrested 20 suspects from Kharian and Sarai Alamgir.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), “Pakistan Rangers Punjab along with CTD, Police and Intellignce Agencies carried out joint search operations in surrounding areas of Kharian and Sarai Alamgir.”
The release added that a huge cache of illegal weapons, ammunition were recovered during the operations.
Earlier, Security forces late Sunday killed two suspected terrorists from a banned organisation near Saggian Bridge, Lahore and recovered heavy weapons.
As per reports, the Counter Terrorism Department received information that four terrorists are entering Lahore with plans to hit sensitive installations.
Following this, the officials established pickets near the bridge and tried to intercept four motorcyclists who opened fire on the officials.
In response, two terrorists were killed on the spot while the others manged to flee taking benefit of the darkness.
The officials recovered explosives, detonators, Kalashnikov, pistol, and other weapons from the possession of the killed terrorists.
