No compromise on national security, affirms defence minister over Kulbhushan s case

ISLAMABAD – Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said on Thursday that Pakistan’s security was supreme as no compromise would be made on it.

Commenting on ICJ’s order, staying the execution of RAW agent Kulbhushan Jadhav and requesting consular access to him, he said it was not a matter of victory or defeat, adding that Pakistan’s stance on the RAW agent was very clear.

He further said Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav was convicted after fulfilling all necessary legal procedures and any decision regarding him will be taken keeping in view the national interest.

“It is a matter of national security and we will not compromise on it,” he asserted.

The legislator stated that ICJ had only granted stay on the death sentence of Jadhav and so the provisions of case were still to be debated in the court.
