ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Strong tremors of 5.1 magnitude earthquake were Wednesday morning felt in Sawat and surrounding areas, said Meteorological Department.
There are no reports of any losses to lives or properties in earthquake related incidents.
The epicentre of quake was found to be around a hundred kilometre deep in Hindukush region of Pak-Afghan border area.
The quake comes just days after deadly quakes in Japan and Ecuador where over 500 people have died while rescue operation is still underway in mobile areas.
