Female and a minority, Policewoman makes the nation proud despite all odds

LAHORE (Web Desk) – You can achieve what you can dream. A lady police officer has proved the phrase right by receiving a prestigious Police award despite the fact that she belonged to a minority.

Stella Sadiq became the first police woman to receive Quaid-e-Azam Police medal. The award was given by Inspector general Sindh Shahid Nadeem Baloch.

Stella received the medal due to her services to Police and mainly because of the fact that she alongwith two other Policewomen stopped two suicide bombers from entering the shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi  in Karachi. She received injuries during the effort.

After being honoured the ecstatic lady expressed her feeling and said that in October, 2010 she was deputed at the Boat Basin police station.

“The Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal is an honour for me. I will perform my duties with courage and bravery in the future too. Stella added.

Police Awam, a portal dedicated to bridging the gap between police and masses took to twitter to share the story of Stella.
