A large cache of arms and ammunition was seized by Frontier Corps (FC) during a raid on Saturday in Quetta’s Gahi Khan Chowk area, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the ISPR statement, the FC recovered 503 hand grenades, five improvised explosive devices (IED), a RPG-7, an automatic grenade launcher, a light-machine gun and thousands of rounds of small arms ammunition.
“Timely action on the part of security forces has foiled the nefarious designs of terrorists planning to carry out terror act,” added the ISPR statement.
The bomb disposal experts were called in to defuse the seized weapons.
