BADIN – A girl in Badin city of Sindh committed suicide by consuming poison due to social media blackmailing.
A letter found by the victim’s family revealed that the girl was being blackmailed by a boy and his friends over doctored pictures; reportedly, the group also extorted Rs50,000 from the girl.
Police said the suspects are on the run and search is underway to arrest them.
The suspects had earlier sent a photoshopped picture to the girl’s fiancé, following which her engagement was called off, however, the girl finally decided to take her life.
