Four Rangers personnel gunned down in Karachi

KARACHI (Staff Report) – As many as four Rangers personnel were shot dead by unknown assailants in Baldia’s Ittehad Town of Karachi on Friday.

Three of the Rangers personnel died on the spot, while another succumbed to wounds during the treatment at the hospital.

DIG West District told newsmen that unidentified assailants targeted a vehicle of Sindh Rangers outside a mosque. As a result four personnel received bullets however one of them is still alive and being treated at hospital.

DG Sindh Rangers Major-General Bilal Akbar confirmed the incident saying that the terrorists apparently came to attack the mosque but encountered with Rangers personnel.

A search operation was started in the area following the incident.
