KARACHI – Sindh Government has decided to make fool proof security arrangements for a peaceful observance of Chehlum in the province.
The posthumous ritual in the memory of Hazrat Imam Hussain will be observed on Monday (tomorrow).
The ban came into effect at 12:00am last night and will remain enforced till Monday midnight. A notification has also been issued in this regard by the Sindh Home Department, Samaa reported.
The ban will not be applicable on women, children below the age of 12 years, senior citizens, journalists, personnel of law enforcement agencies/security agencies in uniform, and employees of the essential services.
