ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Pakistan National Council of the Arts organized an event in order to pay glowing tributes to pioneer of the modern art education in Pakistan, Professor Anna Molka Ahmad.
The event was arranged by Pakistan National Council of the Arts on 22nd Death Anniversary of the legendary painter who was founder of Fine Arts Department in Punjab University.
She was not only a teacher but an academy in her capacity. Her services for the promotion of art education are praiseworthy, said the Director General, PNCA Iftikhar Babar.
Promotion of art and artists is our prime duty and today’s event is an acknowledgement of the contributions of the legendary artists, he added.
Zarar Haider Babri, one of her students, elaborated her dedication through her own words saying while on bed even she was calling for the promotion and adaptation of national language and lauded that nothing can be achieved without bringing forward it in your own language.
Her love for Islamic architecture reflects her inclination towards Islamic values and Pakistani identity.
