Government has adopted zero-tolerance policy for terrorism, says PM Nawaz

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Thursday said that current government has adopted zero-tolerance policy for terrorism and operation Zarb-e-Azb has dismantled network and safe havens of terrorists.

Talking to Italian Foraging Minister Paolo Gentiloni in Islamabad, he said operation against criminals and extortionists in Karachi has also restored peace in the port city.

He said the country is marching on its way to achieve long term economic stability and fully exploit its immense natural resources.

The premier informed Italian dignitary that government is pursuing a robust national policy to overcome the energy shortage and positive economic indicators reflect the government’s efforts for revival of economy.

Nawaz Sharif said the improved law and order situation and the business-friendly environment have restored the confidence of investors.

Italian Foreign Minister lauded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s efforts against extremism and terrorism.

He said Pakistan’s reach out to neighbours and its efforts for restoration of peace and stability in Afghanistan are highly appreciable.

Italian Foreign Minister briefed Nawaz Sharif on the upcoming visit of Italian Prime Minister to Pakistan.
