2.7 million Afghan refugees to go back this year

KARACHI (Web Desk) – More than 2.7 million Afghanistan citizens will be moving back to their country by the end of 2015 while no unregistered refugee will be permitted to stay on Pakistani soil anymore, said secretary interior of province Sindh.

Abdul Kabeer Qazi, while to local media, said government is advising a new policy of that will only allow seminaries with ‘no objection certificate’ to work in Pakistan. The registration of religious seminaries has already begun, he added.

Every Afghan refugee returning to his homeland will be awarded rupees 0.74 million by Pakistani government, and Afghanistan government will be responsible to provide him shelter, he briefed.

He revealed that an official notification the government will also be issued soon.
