LAHORE – At least three people were killed and eight injured on Wednesday in two different incidents of roof collapse in Lahore.
A roof of a warehouse collapsed on Manga road in Raiwind, where four persons where caught under the rubble. After the incident, rescue officials and local started efforts to save the victims.
However, three including Hanif Masih, Saleem Mashi and Nadeem died on the spot, while owner Murtaza who sustained serious injuries, has been shifted to a hospital in critical state.
At least seven persons, including four children were injured on Wednesday after the roof of a house collapsed in Bagrian area of Lahore. Abdullah, Fatima, Shazia and others were injured in the incident.
On Tuesday, four women died in separate incidents after gusty winds followed by heavy rain in Punjab.
The recent rain spell lashed Multan, Bahawalpur, Jhang, Lodhran, Vehari, Khanewal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad, Lahore, Gojra, Bhakkar, Sargodha and Mianwali.
