PPP leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim, 76, dies in Karachi

KARACHI (Staff Report) – Senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party, Makhdoom Amin Fahim, passed away in Karachi on Saturday morning, family sources confirmed.

Fahim, 76, will be laid to rest at his native town in Hala.

He was suffering from blood cancer and died after protracted illness.

His funeral prayers will be held at 3:30 pm today (Saturday).

Fahim began his political career in 1970 and was elected as MNA eight times.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed deep grief and sorrow over his death. He prayed for eternal peace and tranquility for the departed soul and commiserated with the bereaved family.

A number of political leaders have condoled the death of Amin Fahim.
