ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has lodged a strong protest with India over the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian troops along the Line of Control in Khuiratta Sector.
Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh was summoned to the Foreign Office on Monday and conveyed strong condemnation of the unprovoked ceasefire violations, resulting in the martyrdom of four innocent children, including three girls and one boy, and injuries to two other civilians.
The Deputy High Commissioner was told that the deliberate targeting of civilian populated areas was highly deplorable.
Pakistan also expressed grave concern over the incident of Indian refusal of diplomatic flight clearance to Pakistani Aircraft.
This action by the India constituted a violation of the 1991 bilateral agreement between Pakistan and India.
Earlier, Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing at Jandrot, Karela and Baroh sector along the Line of Control on Monday. In the result of Indian firing, four civilians embraced martyrdom while 10 injured.
There are reports of heavy casualties of Indian soldiers due to the effective retaliatory fire by Pakistani troops. At least 6 Indian soldiers have been confirmed killed till.
