QUETTA – Tremors of an earthquake were felt in different parts of Pishin, Balochistan and surrounding areas on Monday morning, National Seismic Monitoring Centre said.
The earthquake struck 65 km from Quetta with its epicentre at Khanozai, Balochistan. It hit 25 km below the surface of Earth, the monitoring agency said.
Last week an earthquake of 5.4 magnitude hit upper parts of Pakistan, triggering fear and panic among the masses. The tremors were felt in Kohat, Abbottabad, Shangla, Dir Bala, Lower Dir, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and other parts of Pakistan.
The epicentre was located in Afghanistan’s Hindukush region. The depth of the earthquake was said to be at 179 km.
