Beyonce declared as highest paid female singer of 2017

LOS ANGELES – American pop diva Beyonce has been declared the highest-paid woman of 2017 in music according to annual Forbes list released on Monday.

According to American business magazine Forbes, Beyonce’s hit album ‘Lemonade’ and her ‘Formation’ concert world tour made her clinch the top spot and she earned some $105 million in a year.

British singer Adele secured the second position with estimated $69 million and Taylor Swift who topped last year’s list with $170 million in estimated earning plummeted to third position this time.

Those who failed to grab any spot in the top 10 include Madonna, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande.

Forbes compiled the list after estimating pretax income for the 12 months from June 2016 to 2017, based on interviews with managers, agents, lawyers and some of the stars. It also looked at data from the Pollstar, the Recording Industry Association of America and tracking firm Nielsen SoundScan.
