BAGHDAD (Web Desk) – An Iraqi thief has returned 10 million dinars (Dh32,000) he stole from a house two days after learning the money belongs to orphans.
The thief, apparently feeling guilty, left the stolen money in a plastic bag at the door of the house in the eastern Diyala province at dawn, Iraq’s Al Sumeria news network reported.
“We found the stolen money in a plastic bag left just outside the door,” a source close to the orphans’ family said.
“The money belongs to orphans whose father died in a bomb attack four years ago.”
