KARACHI (Staff Report) – An anti-terrorism court Tuesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for as many as 200 Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers including key leaders.
The court has ordered police officials to present Altaf Hussain, Farooq Sattar, Waseem Akhtar, Khushbakht Shujaat, Rauf Siddique and others in court on January 2, 2016.
Several cases were registered against MQM leaders and workers on the request of Sindh Rangers under the sections of anti-terrorism act. They were accused of inciting violence and promoting hate speech in Karachi in the cases.
Meanwhile the ATC judge Waseem Ahmad Khosa accepted police challan against MQM leader Rauf Siddiqui in as many as nine terror related cases. He is on bail in more than a dozen cases already.
