Wind corridor to add 1,000 MW electricity to national grid

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The wind corridor will add 1,000MW electricity to national grid by 2018 as more investors are showing interest in this source of power-generation.

In a statement, Fauji Foundation’s wind energy company chief Col (Retd) Muzaffar Hussain said Pakistan’s wind corridor in district Thatta has potential to generate up to 50,000 MW electricity, which will be sufficient to meet power demands for decades.
