Lashkar-e-Jhangvi activist Asif Chotu arrested from DG Khan

DERA GHAZI KHAN (Staff Report) – Police have arrested a key operative, Asif Chotu, of banned sectarian outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LJ).

As per details, police arrested Asif Chotu during a search operation in DG Khan on Monday.

Chotu was wanted by the police in Justice Baqar Maqbool attack case and other heinous crimes. The suspect was carrying a head money of Rs 2.5 million.

At least 15 people were killed and scores of others wounded when a powerful bomb hit a convoy of Justice Baqar Maqbool, the then Chief Justice of Sindh High Court, in Karachi in June 2013.

The top Sindh judge miraculously survived the bombing.
