'We won't let Imran Khan escape': Kh Asif seeks complete money trail of PTI chief's assets
SIALKOT - Defence Minister and PML-N leader Khawaja Asif Saturday said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif made himself accountable and now it is Imran Khan’s turn to come clean before the nation.

The PML-N senior leader has called upon PTI chairman Imran Khan to provide the complete money trail the same way he has been demanding it from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

He criticised PTI chief in relation to the ongoing case in the Supreme Court regarding his Bani Gala residence’s money trail, the minister said this while was addressing a press conference in Sialkot.

“Imran Khan’s divorced wife is still sending him millions of rupees, how is it possible?” said Khawaja Asif, adding this is something the PTI chief needs to tell the public.

The same set of rules applies to Imran Khan as for Nawaz Sharif, he said. “We will not let Imran Khan escape,” said Khawaja Asif.

The defence minister said that PML-N voters are with Nawaz Sharif and there’s no option for a new PM in sight. He added that the party does not even imagine the possibility of the disqualification of the premier.

While recalling his conflict with Imran, Kh Asif said he had filed a Rs 10 billion defamation notice against him and that his counsel was absent from the hearing till date. He made it clear that PML-N is not expecting PM’s disqualification in Panama implementation case.

Kh Asif said the PML-N government had delivered in its tenure and relies on the public support for 2018 general elections.

Earlier, PTI leaders held a press conference where Fawad Chaudhry said that the money trail for Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence was submitted to the court after gathering details from London, adding that the party has now allayed the concerns of rival PML-N.
