RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – A fire broke out in an office of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Wednesday morning.
Rescue sources said that a blaze broke out and quickly spread throughout the entire PIA office building located on Rawalpindi’s Mall Road.
Firefighters and Rescue 1122 teams put out the blaze after hours of battling, and ensured no casualty were reported during the incident.
The cause of the fire has yet to be established, while the extent of the damage has not yet been determined.
Most Pakistani cities have insufficient fire fighting infrastructure. Moreover, narrow lanes in market areas allow fires to spread more easily and create hurdles for the fire fighters to access trying to reach the affected area.
