MAKKAH (Online) – Pilgrims are moving into the tent city of Mina in Saudi Arabia, marking the beginning of Haj rituals.
They will spend the night in the tent city before heading towards Arafat on Wednesday (23 Sep) for main ritual ‘Rukn-e-Azam’ of Hajj. The Hujjaj (pilgrims) will stay at Maidan-e-Arafat for whole day and will listen the Hajj sermon to be delivered by the grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia at Masjid-e-Nimra.
They will offer Zohr and Asr prayers at Maidan-e-Arafat and will leave for Muzdalfa just after sunset.
During the stay in Maidan-e-Arafat, Hujjaj will offer Nawafil and special prayers and repent their sins.
The Hujjaj after the Waqoof-e-Arafat will spend whole night in open sky at Muzadalfa where they will offer their Maghrib and Isha prayers and spend the whole night in prayers.
Over two million Muslims including 143, 368 from Pakistan are performing Haj this year.
The Saudi government has made foolproof security measures for the pilgrims.
