PIA steward held over theft in London

LONDON (Web Desk) – A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight steward was detained at London airport on Tuesday after he was accused of theft.

The Customs officials have recovered phones from Khurram Shahzad when his luggage was searched. According to a PIA spokesman, Khurram Shahzad was part of the flight crew of PK-786 which flies from London to Islamabad.

In September 2014, the Customs authorities in Lahore took crew of PIA’s flight from London into custody after recovering mobile phones and foreign currency.

Earlier in January 2014, a PIA steward was sentenced to five year imprisonment after proven guilty in heroin smuggling bid.
