ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Thursday tweeted images of air force jets taking off from motorways.
“The defenders or our skies, in a state of constant readiness, Alhamdolillah. Our motorways are our runways,” the Defence Minister tweeted.

The minister’s tweet comes amid escalated tensions between Pakistan and India over the issue of occupied Kashmir.

Pakistan has also raised the issue of gross human rights violations by Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir at the international forum. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif shared evidences of violations in the UN.
