PESHAWAR (Staff Report) – Pakistan army spokesperson Lt-Gen Asim Bajwa on Saturday said five of the terrorists and their facilitators involved in Bacha Khan University attack have been arrested and their identities ascertained.
Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said, “we killed four attackers and apprehended their five facilitators and raids are being conducted to arrest another facilitator, his wife and niece,” Bajwa explained during press briefing.

He said four terrorists, Ali, Usman, Umar and Abid, who were trained in Afghanistan, crossed into Pakistan from Torkham Border Crossing like ordinary travellers and used public transport to reach Mardan.

“Adil is a mason, who also worked in the university as labourer. He drew the map of university and remained involved in planning the attack.” “Noorullah, who bought an auto rickshaw, transported terrorists to sugarcane fields near Bacha Khan University in Charsadda.”
Bajwa said that weapons used by the terrorists were from bought from Darra Adam Khel.
He said Adil and Riaz helped terrorists to buy weapons. However, Adil’s wife and niece facilitated them (terrorists) to fetch weapons from one place to another destination. They hid weapons in their burqas at checkposts.
Asim said that Umar, the main commander, who was in Afghanistan, called a Pakistani reporter during the attack. The phone call was also played before media.
The DG ISPR called upon the nation to play its role to help eliminate terrorism from the country.
The arrested men were also presented before media.
