Peace prevailing in Pakistan: COAS Gen Bajwa and family dine at Islamabad hotel without security protocol

ISLAMABAD – People in Pakistan’s capital city Saturday got a rare chance to find the army chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, among them at a local hotel without being guarded by elite army commandos.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) arrived at the restaurant of an Islamabad hotel with his family without any security protocol for dinner. Gen Bajwa also met with the people in the restaurant.

Such movement of the top military commander is a clear sign of peace restoring in the country which has fought terrorism for decades.

It is for the first time in Pakistan that any serving army chief has a family dinner out without any security in the sight.
