ISLAMABAD – On securing a historic win against Indian in Champions Trophy 2017, a ceremony will be held at Prime Minister House in honour of Pakistan cricket team and management.
Local media reported that PM Nawaz Sharif will also meet the victorious players and present them cash rewards on their outstanding performance against India in the final match.

According to a notification issued on Thursday, the prime minister has given approval for immediate release of Rs215 million for the Pakistan cricket team.
The notification further stated that all 15 players of the winning team, comprising Azhar Ali, Ahmad Shahzad, Fakhar Zaman, Muhammad Babar, Shoaib Malik, Muhammad HafeezHaris Sohail, Sarfaraz Ahmad, Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Muhammad Amir, Tumman Rais Khan, Hassan Ali, Muhammad Junaid and Faheem Ashraf, will be rewarded with Rs10 million each for winning Champions Trophy.
On the other hand, 13 officials of team management will be given Rs5 million each.
PM Sharif will hand over cheques to players and officials at a special ceremony to be held at PM House on July 5.
Pakistan had beaten its arch-rival India by 180 runs in the Champions Trophy final at The Oval, London.
