ISLAMABAD (APP) – The 10th meeting of Pak-Afghan Joint Economic Commission was held in Islamabad on Monday to discuss various issues between the two countries.
The Meeting presided over by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, discussed matters related to regional security and strengthening of trade and energy relations also came under discussion.
The two sides also held talks on rail and road projects, visa issues and linkage of Peshawar and Chaman to the Afghan cities of Jalalabad and Kandahar.
Speaking on this occasion, the Finance Minister stressed the need of implementation of the decisions taken by the two countries for strengthening of their relations.
He said serious efforts are needed to achieve the declared trade volume of five billion dollars till 2017 and urged Afghan side to expedite the process of activation of Joint Business Council.
