PM Imran orders probe into attack on Chinese Consulate

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday condemned the failed terrorist attack on the Chinese Consulate in Karachi.

The prime minister has ordered an immediate investigation into the matter to expose the elements behind the nefarious design.

He termed the incident an attack on the Pakistan-China friendship and economic cooperation, adding that such forces cannot spoil the bilateral ties.

He appreciated the security officials over foiling the terror bid, saving the country from a big disaster.

Earlier today, three terrorists carried out an attack near the Chinese Consulate located in Clifton Block 4, Karachi. The bid was foiled after the security officials responded to the attack effectively.

Two of the terrorists were killed in the retaliatory firing, while another blew himself up, leaving two policemen dead.
