ISLAMABAD – Twitter has suspended the account of Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) after the group claimed responsibility for the terror bid in Karachi.
The social networking site took down the Twitter handle after the militant group uploaded pictures of three attackers who targeted the Chinese consulate tucked in the southern metropolis of Pakistan.
This is not the first time BLAS has claimed responsibility for terror attacks in the country but calls by Twitterati to suspend the account of the group could be the core reason behind the suspension which was long-overdue.
Earlier, in August, the group had confirmed that one of its suicide bombers Rehan Baloch targeted a bus carrying employees of Saindak Copper-Gold Project in Dalbandin.
Moreover, Allah Nazar Baloch, the leader of BLA kept on spewing venom and hatred against Pakistan on Twitter through his handle @DrAllahNizar – an account which is now deactivated on Twitter.
Security experts in Pakistan claim that BLA has links with India and the unholy collusion is behind the subversive activities in Pakistan.
Though BLA is active in Balochistan, even then it has tried to disrupt the peace across Pakistan. Another vindication of BLA’s connivance with India is the arrest of Kulbhushan Jadhav – an Indian spy arrested from Balochistan.
