Ashura being observed with due solemnity

LAHORE (Staff Report) – Youm-e-Ashur is being observed throughout the country on Saturday with due solemnity and sanctity to pay homage to the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain Razi Allah-ho Anho and his companions in Karbala.

On this occasion, various mourning, Alam, Zuljinah and Taazia processions are being taken out in all big and small towns.

In Lahore, the main procession will be taken out from the Nisar Haveli, and after passing through its traditional route, it will reach its destination Karbala Gamay Shah.

The Rawalpindi’s main mourning procession will start from Imambargah Colonel Maqbool Hussain and culminate at Imambargah Qadeemi.

Five companies of the Pakistan Army will be stand by to help police on the Ashura day on Saturday to meet any eventuality in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan Districts.

In Karachi, the main procession will be taken out from Nishtar Park which will culminate at Imambargah Hussainia Irania.

In Peshawar, over a dozen Alam, Zuljinah and Tazia processions will be taken out. The main procession will be taken out from Qissa Khawani Imam Bargah Alamdar.

In Quetta, the main procession will be taken out from Alamdar Road. After passing through its traditional route it will end at its starting point.

Similarly, in Muzaffarabad, main Taazia, Alam and Zuljinah processions will be taken out from Markazi Imambargah Pir Alam Shah Bukhari and terminate at the same place after passing through its traditional routes.
