ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will soon get delivery of as many as two state of the art fuel-efficient aircraft as part of its fleet enhancement programme.
With the induction of these two more planes the PIA fleet strength will increase to a total of 37.
The two airplanes Airbus A320 and Boeing 777-200ER, that have been acquired on lease, are due to arrive next week.
The A320 aircraft will be operated on domestic and international short haul routes while Boeing 777-200ER will be operated on long haul routes.
Under the guidance of Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Aviation Shujaat Azeem, PIA has inducted as many as 14 airplanes in one year for the first time.
