WASHINGTON (News Desk) – The United States has welcomed the Pakistan’s proposal to conclude a bilateral arrangement for nuclear non-testing with India.
US State Department Spokesman Mark Toner told a daily press briefing in Washington that we encourage high-level dialogue between India and Pakistan to engage in the dialogue and exercise restraint aimed at improving strategic stability.
He said this proposal is something we would leave to India’s consideration.
He also termed it the most practical way to achieve a legally binding for both states to sign and ratify the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty [CTBT].
