I have a genuine interest to learn Urdu, says Jacqueline Fernandez

Actress Jacqueline Fernandez claims she has done everything that India has to offer and now has a keen interest to learn our “beautiful” mother tongue Urdu.

“I have a genuine interest to learn Urdu, a language that sounds so beautiful. At times, I read something and if I find any word that sounds interesting, I note it down, learn it and try to incorporate it in my conversation. In fact, once I learn the language, I want to read books in that language… It’s a gradual process, but I want to learn everything slowly,” she said during an interview.

When Fernandez was working on Salman Khan-starrer Kick, there was news that the superstar has brought on board a coach who could give Urdu lessons to the actress.

Jacqueline began her Hindi film career with Aladin, followed up by appearances in films like Housefull, Murder 2 and Race 2. She has shared screen space with actors like Salman, John Abraham and Varun Dhawan etc.

She will be seen opposite Sidharth Malhotra in ‘A Gentleman.’
