Gen Raheel Sharif in North Waziristan to meet troops

RAWALPINDI (Staff Report) - Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif Wednesday reached Shawal area of North Waziristan.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief will visit frontlines and would meet troops taking part in Zarb-e-Azb operation against terrorists.

General Raheel Sharif will also be briefed about the successes achieved in Zarb-e-Azb and rehabilitation of TDPs.

The visit comes a day after jets of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) targeted hideouts in North Waziristan’s Data Khel area and killed at least fifteen suspected terrorists .

The killed terrorists were members of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and Lashkar-e-Islam.
