PPP announces to replace Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, several provincial ministers

KARACHI – The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Sunday announced that it would change the Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and some other members of the provincial cabinet.

According to a statement by PPP spokesperson Senator Farhatullah Babar, the decision was taken during a party meeting chaired by former President Asif Ali Zardari and party Chairman  Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Dubai.

“Bilawal is set to return to Karachi in the next few days to hold meetings with party MPAs before finalizing changes in the Sindh cabinet,” he added in the statement.

Media reports have claimed that Syed Murad Ali Shah will now take charge as the next chief minister of Sindh.

Earlier on Saturday, the PPP leadership had flown to the UAE to hold discussions on the renewal of special powers granted to the paramilitary Rangers, which are set to expire in the coming days.
