LAHORE – Dead bodies of three children were recovered from a house in the Heer area of Lahore Saturday morning, stirring panic among the residents of the community.
The victims include 10-year-old Zain, six-year-old Kaneez Fatima and four-year-old Ibrahim and tragically, the investigators are suspecting their mother to be the murderer.
According to initial reports, the mother, Anika was present in the house when the killings took place but was later found injured.
The investigating authorities also claimed that the mother was mentally disturbed and was divorced a few days back.
On the other hand, Anika claims that the murders were committed by a ‘friend’ named Hussain, who was taken into custody by police.
Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif also took notice of the incident and sought a report over it from the concerned quarters.
