Court indicts PSP leader Anees Qaimkhani

HYDERABAD – Hyderabad’s sessions court indicted Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) leader Anees Qaimkhani here on Thursday.

Qaimkhani has been accused of arson and facilitating a murder in 1994 however, he pleaded not guilty to the charges in the court.

Qaimkhani, a prominent former member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, joined Mustafa Kamal’s PSP earlier this year.

Earlier, this month the Sindh High Court had granted bail to Rauf Siddiqui, Anees Qaimkhani, Dr Asim Hussain and Usman Moazam in the case pertaining to the charges of harbouring and providing medical treatment to terrorists.

He was asked to surrender his passport to the court and submit bail bonds of Rs0.5 million each. The court has also ordered authorities not to issue new passports to the two suspects.
