KARACHI (Staff Report) – Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has suspended mobile phone and wireless internet services in different parts of country, including Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar and Haiderabad, in the wake of Ashura processions.
According to a statement mobile phone services have been suspended in as many as 68 districts of the country on request of provincial governments.
Out of the 68 districts, 34 are in Punjab, 8 in Sindh, 15 in KP, 3 in Balochistan, 1 in Gilgit Baltistan and 7 in Azad Kashmir.
