MUMBAI – Netflix will be on airing their super hit Indian series ‘Sacred Games’ season 2 with the existing producers after conducting an independent investigation into allegations of sexual harassment, stated the organization on Tuesday.
In an email to Reuters, Netflix shared it was standing by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap, whose production house was behind the Mumbai-set thriller.
“We continue to collaborate with our production partners to ensure and maintain a safe and respectful working environment,” revealed the company.
The crime drama had become embroiled in the #MeToo controversy after Varun Grover a writer on the show was accused of allegedly harassing a woman during his college days. The woman shared her story anonymously on Twitter in the wake of #MeToo movement in India. Grover, however, has denied all the charges levelled against him.

In an elaborated statement, the writer wrote, “Really unfortunate that these completely fabricated and defamatory allegations have been made on me. None of the sequence of events as described in that anonymous screenshot happened ever and I deny all of it with all the conviction I have in my bones.”
The streaming giant in reply to the allegations had said they were evaluating their options.
“At this time, we are evaluating options on the path forward,” shared the Netflix representative.
